What is the IIT JEE exam?
The Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) is the entrance exam conducted by the NTA (National Testing Agency) for admissions to government and private engineering institutes. Students who passed or appeared in the class XII exam (or equivalent exams) from a recognized board are eligible to apply for the JEE exams. There are two levels; JEE Main and JEE Advanced through which students get admissions in IITs, NITs CFTIs, and other institutes for studying the graduation, integrated, diploma or dual courses like B.E., B.Tech, B.Arch, etc. The questions are framed from the XI and XII syllabus of mathematics, physics and chemistry, having equal weightage in the exam.
What is the NEET exam?
Another national-level entrance exam conducted by the NTA is the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test). Students seeking to get into government and private medical and dental colleges have to appear in the NEET exam. There is no upper age limit set by the authorities. However, every student has to satisfy the minimum educational qualification, i.e., should be a class XII student or have passed the board exam/equivalent exam from a recognized board. Students have to prepare for the exam based on the syllabus of classes XI and XII mentioned for physics, chemistry and biology subjects.
